CAPABILITIES · PERMITTING & CODE
Permits are the part of a sign project that decides your date, and the part most people find out about last. We handle zoning, submittal, and inspection in every municipality in the metro — including the ones with a reputation.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Zoning Review
What your address is actually allowed — type, height, area, and count — checked before anyone designs to a size you cannot have.
Sign Permit Submittal
Drawings, site plans, and applications prepared and filed to each municipality's format, then tracked until they issue.
Variances & Appeals
When what you need exceeds what the code allows, the case that has to be made and the board it goes in front of.
Historic & District Review
Overlay districts add a design review on top of the sign permit, with their own calendar and their own standards.
Structural Engineering
Sealed drawings for freestanding and high-mounted signs, sized for Oklahoma wind load and coordinated with the permit set.
Electrical Permits & Inspection
Illuminated signs carry a separate electrical permit and a final inspection. We schedule and meet both.
BEFORE YOU START
Fabrication is predictable. Approval is not. Understanding that order is the difference between a date you can hold and one you keep moving.
Every city is its own system
Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, and Moore each run their own process, format, and review calendar. What passes in one is not automatically fine in the next.
The landlord reviews too
Most shopping centers have sign criteria that govern more tightly than the city does, and landlord approval usually has to come first.
Corrections are normal
A first submittal often comes back with comments. Answering them quickly and correctly matters more than the original filing date.
Design to the code, not around it
It is far cheaper to check the allowance before the design than to redraw a sign that was never permittable at that size.
Permits outlast fabrication
Building the sign runs in weeks. Approval can run in months, and it runs first. That order is the single biggest driver of your install date.
HOW IT WORKS
01
Design
From scratch or from your existing artwork — checked against code before it is built.
02
Permits
Zoning, sign permit, electrical, and any district review, filed and tracked.
03
Fabrication
Built to spec in-house, engineered for Oklahoma wind and sun.
04
Installation
Scheduled, crewed, and inspected — with minimal disruption to your business.
Four steps, a few minutes. We will come back with the right next step — not a generic quote.
